When I was a kid, I wanted to be a cartographer, private investigator, or backup dancer on In Living Color. I'm now a UX Designer & Strategist, which is like a strange combination of all the above.
I took a pretty indirect route to get here: traveling around the world as a Juilliard-trained opera singer, collecting oral historiesthroughout the country for StoryCorps, helping to manage a global high school robotics competition, and introducing thousands of people to classical music through innovative programs. The thread that connects all of these paths is a maker spirit combined with a knack for intense, engaged listening.
I'm fascinated by the intersection between digital products and real-life services, the ethical implications of quickly evolving technology, and how we know what we know about the world. I nerd out about a lot of things, especially music.
Fun Facts: I'm Hmong. I like sparkly, shiny shoes. My favorite word is Noodle. I'm really into maps. I'm cheerful, social, and optimistic, but an introvert at heart. :)
