I use design to bring people closer to programs and services that help to improve the quality of their lives. Currently, I’m the UX Lead in the Digital Products Lab at Planned Parenthood, supporting Roo, a chatbot that provides teens with answers for their most pressing sexual and reproductive health questions. Prior to this, I was a Director, UX Research at the College Board, working on products that helped break down college access barriers for students of all backgrounds, especially low-income, first generation, and POC students.
Prior to design, I worked directly in the field with non-profit organizations. I spent a year on the road organizing the MobileBooth recording tour with StoryCorps, managed state partnerships and supported the game design committee at FIRST Robotics, led outreach programs at the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and produced a city-wide festival about hanging out with the Val Alen Institute.
I have a MA in Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BMusic from the Juilliard School. I live in Brooklyn, NY, and am quite proud to be a first generation Hmong American.
